UnitiQute 2 not connecting to NAS Drive

Posted by: Richy on 25 July 2015

Afternoon All,

I have just bought a Unitiqute 2 which is driving some Neat Iota speakers. I have it all set-up with the wireless antenna in the back of the Qute and a Western Digital MyBookLive (about 3 yrs old) wired to the router (Sky Homehub).

The Qute connected to the wifi straight away.. when selecting the UPnP input it shows '[MyBookLive] Twonky Media', but once selected, it tries to search for a few seconds and then shows 'No Server'!! I have spent hours trying both wireless and wired connections but without any luck.  Any ideas??

Note: I've previously owned a Superuniti so I am used to the interface.. The Qute will play music from USB and Internet Radio without issue, but I just cannot get it to spot the music on the NAS drive.  :-s

Hi Rich,

Have you enabled Twonky and given the UQ2 permission to access the Twonky media server ?

Open your MBL's webpage/GUI by typing in its IP address in your webbrowser and navigate to settings/media. Ensure that the "Enable Twonky" box is checked and expand the "Twonky Service" dropdown list. There you should see the MAC addresses and IP addresses of the various devices on your network including your UQ2.

Make sure that there is no tick in the "Block" checkbox next to your UQ2.

Good luck.
