Help with Unitiqute 2 display!

Posted by: Andy Barratt on 30 July 2015

I tried figuring this out for myself, and also tried e-mailing Naim support - who replied but didn't really answer my question...

So I love the idea that after a user defined period, the clock will engage. I have it set to one hour - and that's regardless of whether music is playing or not I think?

What I notice happening however, and it's probably by design, is that when i come back to the unit, the next day perhaps - and play some music - the clock will engage again after a few seconds of the song information being displayed.

Maybe if what I hope to do is possible, someone can tell me how?

What I'd love is if the clock engaged after an idle period (e.g. an hour), but basically, if I do something, that idle period is reset. So if i come to the unit on a new day, and the clock would've engaged the previous day, and play something new, I get one hour before the clock comes on again.

Can that be done?

Using the remote, settings>front display>auto off. And clock when off. Does that work?

This is how my Qute2 is set up.  Normally the clock is on. If I do something, the display changes to reflect what I'm doing . . . then after a set period of time, the display goes back to showing the clock.

Just press the display (disp) button on the remote control. The display will remain on for the period you've set in the settings and the clock will then come on when the display goes off.

Unfortunately none of these suggestions did what i hoped.

In the end, I've just disabled the clock. Thanks.
