I have been going around in circles. I have 350gb of music in my itunes library stored in lossless format. I want to use my itunes library on my superuniti without spending months re-cataloging it for something like Twonky. I was using Eyeconnect that worked well but now seems to be broken and not supported. I think the latest changes to Itunes messed it up. I want to use the Playlists and cataloging in itunes. Soes anyone know of a useful upnp that can do it?

I'd try Asset. You might have to email them to ask whether you can point it directly at itunes (as the site doesn't seem to say). There is a free version with limited functionality that you could try first, although the software itself isn't expensive.

I have now tried Twonky, Plex, NAS, Eyeconnect, Allegro, Minim and Asset. None will read the Playlists in itunes. Most just mangle any cataloging. Some have a capacity to rebuild a Playlist but that means starting from scratch without the search filters in itunes. I'm ready to put the superuniti in the bin. It's not worth having a "streamer" if you can't sensibly stream anything but the most basic material to it.

Did you try Linn's Kazoo Server? iTunes is, in fact, the weak link here, but it's what you already are working with, so Kazoo might be the best option to get some utility out of what you have.
Once that's working, you can slowly wean yourself off iTunes toward any of a variety of more specialist-oriented applications. Put simply, iTunes $u@ks in the DLNA / UPnP-oriented world of high-performance streaming.

Thanks David, I'll have a look at Kazoo. I agree with your description of itunes but unfortunately I have 356GB of music cataloged and I don't want to start again. I suspect that my most recent problem with Eyeconnect which worked well for 6 months started with an update of itunes.

I don't like iTunes, but if you're in too deep and and can't get your metadata, playlists or whatever to work on a UPnP server, you could always try an SPDIF connection your SU. You'd need to use the Apple remote app instead of the Naim app. If this works for you, great. You could then consider if a DAC V1 (other DACs are available;-) plus power amp would be better than the SU.
Personally, I'd prefer to get everything onto a NAS and stick with streaming, but if you can't get that to work with your files, this alternative would be cheap and easy to try out.
