New User - How can I control SuperUniti from iMac?

Posted by: Joe33308 on 04 August 2015

Hello,

Had been able to control SU using QuteControl app, but no longer able to connect.  Asks for IP address and never connects.  Can connect using iPhone and Pad, but would also like to control directly from iMac if possible.  Thank you.

There is nothing official out there. If you are a bot savvy you can install arc welder on chrome then download the 'naim' app from play store. This will then run within arc welder however you have to flip it to compatibility mode.

It works, but its not ideal.

Thanks.  Sounds too complicated for me!  Will keep looking for a solution.

Kinsky

The latest build of Kinsky works reasonably well for me.  It doesn't see my UnitiServe, but sees Asset and Minimserver on my nas.

Edit:  I can manually add my Downloads folder of my uServe, and Kinsky will then see the contents of it.  Can also add the Music folder of the uServe, and Kinsky will play the uServe's rips too.

I'm curious as to why Qute control no longer works for you. If your SU is on DHCP, does QC ask for an IP address only when a new one is assigned to the SU? If so, are you entering the right IP? This always works for me.

If you can install BubbleUPnPServer somewhere, you can configure that to create an OpenHome queue for your SU, then use Kazoo.
