Forthcoming Streamer Updates...?

Posted by: GraemeH on 11 August 2015

A few threads have hinted at exciting and (reasonably) imminent updates...what can they be I wonder?

Graeme, as a member of the Beta group, I know exactly what the alleged new and exciting developments are. As you may know, however, all members of the group have agreed as a condition of their participation that they will not disclose anything whatsoever about any developments prior to release, so my advice is that you bide your time and when things are fully tested and working exactly as they should be, they will be released. Sorry to be so dull!

Have we not just had 4.3
I can't keep up

I know the drill HH...just building the excitement!  If 4.3 is anything to go by then things are headed in the right direction.

Now your reply on one of my last comments starts making sense .

I am also a member of the Bets group but not quite as compliant as HH  and I can confirm that the next Iteration of Naim firmware will have a HMHB  filter.

It makes DSD seem broken.

Prepare for music as you have never heard before.........

Now you've let the cat out of the bag. It would have been even worse if you'd mentioned the system integration development that synchronises the kettle with the end of a playlist. Damn.

Could anyone explain what is an "HMHB filter" ?

What is it for ?

Thx.

According to Qobuz, their service would be available on naim-streamers 'early 2016'. Maybe that's what is being tested? I do hope so...

Hi PZ,  better to not take anything on this thread too seriously as you will not get a straight answer.

Maybe it is. But then again, maybe it isn't.

It's included in the beta at present but testing isn't going well so it might get removed.

As Mike said I would ignore comments made on this thread - they are liable to be misleading or complete falsehoods.

Naim will announce any new features in forthcoming firmware releases once they have satisfied themselves they have passed quality assurance and can offer a level of performance that is appropriate for Naim. I suspect such news will coincide with the availability of these new firmwares.

Agreed with your sentiment...

The written equivalent of the Gallic shrug...?

Wouldn't that be "pffff"?  I can't make the noise without doing the shrug!
