BubbleUPnP now supports Hi-Res streaming, which is good news for all of our Qobuz Sublime subscribers, since streaming your purchases in Hi-Res 24-Bit format is now possible with a subscription to Qobuz Sublime on Android. Qobuz HI-FI subscribers will be able to stream their music in true CD quality, and our PREMIUM subscribers will have access to MP3s files at 320 kbps. As for our downloaders, they can now also stream their purchases in CD quality.
Using BubbleUpNP & Kazoo to stream Tidal to NAIM Streamers
Posted by: DUPREE on 15 August 2015
Since many people seem very unhappy with the fact you can't natively play Tidal or these other services on Naim streamers I thought I would explain how I have Tidal working and am also able to use Kazoo from my Mac to control my NAC-N 272. It works brilliantly
In order to do this you must install BubbleUpNP on your NAS. There is a native package for Synology. After installing, open the configuration webgui and click the "Media Renderers" tab, select your name streamer and check the box that says "Create an OpenHome Renderer", you can keep the same name or naim it whatever you like. This is what will show up in Kazoo. Next open up Kazoo and select the renderer you created. It's that easy, you can use the Tidal functionality and use the excellent Linn GUI and still enjoy the superior sound of your NAIM streamer.
Works like a dream from my iPad. And the irony of it all is the best bit...

Thanks by the way. Should have said that in the first reply...
Thanks Dupree, this works like a dream for me too!
Looks like I'm going to keep paying for Tidal now, it sounds better than native Spotify on my UnitiQute and doesn't have to stream through my iPad like with Airplay>Apple TV.
I cannot find BubbleUpNP on my Synology as available SW for instalation. Can you help me to find it? I have Synology 212j

The Bubble UpNP package can be downloaded as a Synology package from the bubblesoftapps website. In addition packages for QNAP can be found there as well. Follow the instructions, just like Minim it requires that you install the Synology Java package. It is very easy to setup and if you do a search you will see people discussing the config of it on the synology community forum... It will work the same for QNAP NAS users as it does for Synology. It also can run on a linux or mac storage server as well.
supr, now it works.
Tidal works :-) Only shame I cannot use volume control for my SN2/NDX combo as with Naim app

Is there somebody with SN2/NDX combo and volume control is working? In Naim app it is working but not with Linn Kazoo

I can confirm that the Bubble installation worked fine on QNAP HS-251. I did have to install the QNAP JRE package before it would work though. And the Kazoo connection to both my Asset based music library and Tidal works very well, as does the Kazoo UI...
All working fine for Tidal via BubbleUpnp on Synology to NDS.
Is there a way to get Qobux the same way?
This is excellent! Thank you.
it took me only 2 minutes to install and configure on my synology nas...

I think it will be when Kazoo supports it. I believe there was a version that did but Linn withdrew for software quality reasons. At least that's my understanding...

Qobuz will be supported in BubbleUPnP Server the same way than TIDAL in the next BubbleUPnP Server update, not too far off. On iOS, it will require an updated Kazoo (while not necessary for Kazoo on desktop computers) because Linn has reverted a few version back until they fix an annoying bug. And it will theorically should work with the LUMIN iPad app as well (and LUMIN should already work with TIDAL).
I have been using bubbleupnp app on android device to control my renderer. It works a charm but when streaming tidal from internet I got drop outs when the phone went to sleep. I installed bubbleupnp server on my Synology NAS last night (also have minim server) and created a open home renderer - it's fabulous - I can sream tidal playlists when the controller sleeps and am also now able to use the lumin app on my iPad.
Great set of software !

Excellent. Thank you. Should solve all problems.
I get an error installing this on my QNAP 469, anyone have this successfully working on a QNAP x86 NAS?
SJB
Those are the instructions I was using. I have JRE 8.6.0 for Minim server, so that shouldn't be the issue.
I just got the error message "installation not successful".

Worked on my HS-251 ok. Did you make sure you're on the latest firmware? D

Scratch that... Found the "enable Home Services" check box... Onwards...
This works really nicely. Thanks!
