Remote app problem

There are occasions when remote can't be accessed by my iPhone or iPad but today the problem has changed.

 

As per usual remote app opens shows my music library click on library and it downloads shows whats playing and all artists  or albums but says "No Songs: You can download from iTunes."

 

Directly connecting to the iTunes on Mac Mini and all items appear to be there.

 

I guess I'll leave a TV connected to MM and carry on that way, I was hoping to free up the TV but I don't think the Remote app is reliable enough.

 

I think there was an iTunes up date this week not sure if that is whats stopped it.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

You might have to log back in to your iTunes account on either the phone or the Mini (or both). Using the account login for device-to-device authentication seems to be pretty common in the Apple world now.

 

Also check that your Mini is set so home sharing is on. (My Mini mysteriously switched its own WiFi off the other day, but that's not your problem.)
