I am amazed so many have opinions on my last post, it is clearly important for us, and especially Naim. Now, I follow up with this, How does an NDS/555 rate against Chord DACS, TT, Hugo, Dave ect. I am specific about NDS/555, NOT NDX ect. I ask for a reason, I want a DAC and am keen to hear the view of others before I audition. Thanks!

I think if you search back you will find various comments on this. The NDS's internal DAC is more like the Hugo, but the Hugo still does things differently. For me the Hugo combines some of the seperate strengths of the NDAC and NDS's DAC together (organicness with detail and insight) .. I guess at this performance level it is very much personal preference .. You have to try and hear for yourself and let the price thing not colour your judgement if you are one of those 'price necessarily means better' sort of people.
But remember of course the NDS is not just a DAC like the Hugo, it's a streamer with inbuilt DAC.
