Problem after upgrade to version 4.1

Dear all,

i have upgraded my superuniti to version 4.1 and i have now the following error message on the screen "please upgrade streaming firmware to version 13031 pr higher"

do you know how solve this problem

When you do the firmware upgrade to a SuperUniti, there are actually three separate upgrades and the streamer is the third.  If you have connected the SU up to your PC correctly, then they should all just follow automatically one after the other.

 

You need to have your SU connected to your PC with a USB to mini-USB lead but also both your PC and your SU must be connected to the internet so that the PC can update the streamer software over the Ethernet (or wifi if you insist) connection.

 

i am a bit puzzled by 4.1 because you should be updating your firmware to 4.3.  If you have previously updated Naim firmware with this PC, you may need to remove the 4.1 updates programme from it before you run the 4.3 updater (Naim don't tell you to do this, but I remember a post from another member who had that issue.)

 

so in summary,  you need to make sure your SU is connected in both ways, you may need to remove the 4.1 updater if that is already on your PC and then let the updater do its work, letting it do all three stages and not disconnecting anything until you get the green tick on the PC programme and the display on the SU is back to normal.

It's easy, if you look at the Featured topics at the top of the Streaming Forum where you have posted this question, you will see that the third one down is called "New update available for Naim streaming products". If you click on that, at the bottom of the posting it says "click here....."  So click there and you go into a Naim announcement which includes the link for PC and Mac.  You download the appropriate software to your PC.  But also on that page you can download the instructions and this is well worth doing, and indeed printing out if you can.  Apart from the two connections to the SU you also need the right drivers on your PC, but this all sounds much more difficult than it is.  you probably have the drivers if it already managed some of the updating because they are used for the first part of the updating process.
