Mu-so background noise / hiss

Hi, I have recently bought a Mu-so and have become aware of a quite significant hiss whilst the device is on but waiting to stream or connect to an Internet radio station. Much more noticable than with my inexpensive separates system. Have others noticed the same? Is there any way to reduce it?? Is my unit faulty???
