NDX Problem

Posted by: andrew mcmullins on 25 September 2015

I collected my shiny serviced and DR'd Unitiserve, 252, SuperCap 2 and XPS2.  So far so good.

However - on connecting the NDX back in - it is behaving very strangely.  The screen does not light up with the usual NDX logo and the left middle and middle bottom lights on the 3 x 3 button layout light up.  After a few seconds they light up in the shape of a plus.  I have tried disconnecting the XPS2 and it does the same thing.  Using the iOS app shows that it has changed its name as well.

Does anyone know what this means? - other than bad news - having had everything away for weeks being serviced.

Most likely the display ribbon cable got dislocated...

So the NDX hasn't been away?

Anyway I would try starting up the NDX just connected to the mains.  Assuming this still shows the problem on the display, I think you should try resetting to the manufacturer's settings which you access via the spanner symbol on the remote.  And if that doesn't fix things, I'm afraid your NDX will need a visit back to Salisbury.

Gents

Many thanks.

No - the NDX stayed home this time.

I have now managed to get it to make a noise - which is a plus - however, Jack might be right in that the display isn't behaving.

Oh well.  Will have to learn to be patient - at least I have the server back so the Mu-So and Uniti now work better.

Agree with Jumping Jack...

bring the NDX to your dealer.
