Just home for a very enjoyable gig. Tom with acoustic guitar along with Max de Bernardi playing acoustic lead.

Coming your way, well worth the price of admission.

Never seen him live but I am a big fan of his music.  What songs did he play/

Posted on: 29 September 2015 by Sloop John B

The first half was as he said a "Reader's Digest " abridged version of his current opus, "The Rose of Roscrae (sic)". Some great tracks here and some great humour.

The second set was the oldies set

Who's going to build your wall?

Navajo Rug

When Irish Girls grow up

Gallo del Cielo

St. Olav's Gate

Blue Wing

Tonight We Ride

Stealing Electricity

and a few other's I'm probably forgetting

oh yeah,

East of Woodstock, west of Vietnam.

really enjoyable gig, I'd really urge anyone who can catch up with him to do so.

SJ, your post prompted me to dust down (metaphorically of course) my CD rip of 'The man from God knows where'. I had forgotten just how much I love that album.

and for a change recently I was among the younger cohort at it!

Not unlike Thom Moore for  "vibe".

Nearly expected to see you there!

Might have been, if I knew about it, but 3 grandkids and one more on the way have clipped the wings a bit!!

Well, very true. I have just ordered Rose of Roscrae from Amazon, since 24 bit seems to be out of the question for the moment. Thank you for the 'heads up'. No doubt we will confer over the winter, without reaching any agreement!
