Best vintage separates pair? NAC + NAP

Similar to the question of CD player in which the standard answer on these forums would be CDS3...what are the generally accepted,  "golden" separates pairs out there?  Chrome / Olive

Where to start, where to end...?

How about a circa '77 vintage NAC12 with NAP160?  Or a circa '85 vintage NAC32.5, Hicap, NAP250?  Or, the sublime bargain that is the NAC42.5 with NAP110.  Or how about the olive NAC52, 52PS with a pair of NAP135s, or better yet, a SNAXO, Supercap and a six-pack of 135s...?

Take your pick from these and pretty much any other combo - these are just some of my personal favourites, but really they're all "golden" classics.

32/Snaps/250 was my first big pre/power, purchased new in the early 80's and would be my pick.

Another vote for 32.5/HC/250 (if best = enjoyed the most)

Much as I enjoyed my original 32.5/hicap/250 (all circa 1984 chrome bumper), the 250 couldn't quite drive my then Linn Saras.  But a pair of chrome bumper 135s could.

However, I decided to sell the Saras, replacing them with the original Epos ES14.  The 32.5/hicap/250 + Epos ES14 was simply brilliant.

The 32.5/Hicap2/135s was also a joy until the 52/Supercap arrived, so now it's the 52/SC/135s.  It's so good that I've no desire to change.

Another classic pre/power in the making?

The DAC-V1 + NAP140.

Half width musical paradise!
