Editing track names In N-Serve
Posted by: Jlaz on 24 April 2011
Hi! I recently bought a uniti serve ssd and in general I love it. However, some of the tracks in my network attached storage (nas) come up as unknown or do not have the artist name included. Is there a way I can edit the albums to add album name or artist name? Thanks!

Yes you have to use the naim supplied software.

I use the Desk Top Client, which is quicker than using the web browser.

Thanks! Does the software work with a Mac computer?

Not to the best of my knowledge. Pretty silly given the whole point is to use I pad/touch. Hopefully naim will develop on option for apple products.

I hope so. It honestly makes no sense to me. Very frustrating trying to keep my music collection "clean and organized"

Yes,
I agree.
Although the Windows based Desktop Client is ok, it means you have to run a Windows emulator on the Mac, which is not necessarily straightforward ( see other threads about using "bridged " mode on the emulator).
Yet the most popular means to control the nServe is via Apple based products ( iPad, iPhone etc). The App is now even "free" !!
Time for a little rethink re meeting customer expectations/requirements ??

Thanks for the all responses. It is really annoying to have to run my computer in coherence mode. It would make the most sense to me to include Mac friendly software. But at least I can say that Naim is finally getting into the digital music world.
