UnitiServe manual eject?
Posted by: AlexWard on 07 May 2011
Hello,
Can anyone tell me the best way to manually a CD from the Serve?
I know I can touch and hold the front Naim logo panel for five second to safely shut the unit down - but does the 'double tap' really work as an eject?
I stuck a disc in this morning (have got to the C part of my A-Z CD collection) and it spun but did not start to rip. This has happen a few times before but the disc would usually eject after a shutdown and restart. Done this several times now and no joy.
Any help?

Normally you Can just tab the logo, and then eject. But with some CD the un doesn't see any cd inside. My experince is then to hold logo + shotdown power. Then normally the cd is eje ted, but for some cd's a tab on the logo is then again need, before eject

Naim, could you please add a force eject to the uniti app? One in 100 cds get stuck in the uniti serve and don't eject automatically. The only solution is to reboot the unit.

i think some new cds have a production film on the surface,i find wiping all new cds with a soft cotton cloth removes this. the rollers in slot cd type of transports makes the cd slip so it cant eject

I had the same problem with mine in that after ripping a CD it failed to eject it. To stop causing any further damage I put it into ‘shut-down’ mode (held the logo for 10 seconds and waited for it to stop flashing) and switched it off. It didn't eject straight away on power up so I left it switched off overnight. Then tried these forums for possible solutions and, on power up, the CD ejected straight away.
