Unitiqute - sorting music problem

Posted by: Prouddaddy on 07 May 2011

Just picked up a Unitiqute and think it is dynamite.  I do have a problem though that I hope someone here can help me with.   I stream all my FLAC music from my Twonky server on my mac mini and the Unitiqute only allows me to search my music via Album. It simply jumps back to TWONKY when I try to look up my music by Artist or Artist/Album.   Is this normal?

Thanks.

Might be that the Artist/Album tag hasnt been filled in by the ripping software. Best way to check is to use mp3tag, a free tag editor.

I use EAC to rip my Flac files, and have to manually fill in the Artist/Album tag. I'm using Twonky on a NAS, and can assure you that the Artist/Album option can be made to work.

Thanks for the reply.   Not sure why this functionality doesn't work automatically with the Unitiqute.  I have no problems sorting this info on my Linn DS using ChorusDS HD.   I really don't want to re-tag 6,000 files just to get them to work with the Unitiqute

I'm streaming FLAC files from TwonkyServer on my MacBook Pro to my UnitiQute, and all the lists work just fine. I also suspect you have a tagging problem. I use Max to rip CDs, and Tag to edit tags when necessary.

Not sure what the problem is but just installed Asset UPNP and everything works perfectly now under it.   Guess I had a problem with my version of Twonky.
