Connecting NACA5 cable to my B&W CM8 Speakers...

Posted by: VinBob on 03 October 2015

Hello All,

Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these speakers using the NACA5 cable and in particular, what would be the best way to connect them using wire jumpers? I have a set of high quality Chord Signature Jumpers and have read that the best way to connect would be to have the the black speaker banana connected to the bottom left pole, and the red banana speaker plug connected to the top right.

Is this OK to do with NACA5 cable or is it best to connect them to either the top or bottom poles?

Appreciate the help in advance folks!

Cheers,

Vin.

I use the Nordost jumpers and connect them using the diagonal method shown in the following attachment.   This sounds good with my ProAcs but B&W may require one of the other methods shown.   It is fun to compare and contrast.

There is a soldered F connection for Naim NACA5 but the pictures are not here where I expected.

Thanks Skip!

Interesting how their diagonal configuration is opposite to what AudioQuest recommends as well as what a gentleman from Chord told me. I believe this is also somewhat speaker dependent as I have been discussing on another forum, so was hoping someone out there has played around with this using similar speakers to mine and especially with NACA5.

I guess I will experiment with the two and hopefully I can get hold of someone over at B&W who may be able to give some recommendations too....
