A lot of similar responses to similar questions get posted here. A list of stock responses, referred to by number, would save a lot of typing:

#1 That topic has been covered pretty often. You should do a search. Why didn't you do a search?

#2 You should get a home demonstration of that expensive box before you spend that much money.

#3 Chill already. Buy some music. Enjoy what you just bought instead of hankering after the next upgrade.

#4 The 72 is better than everything this side of a 552.

#5 The 282 trounces the 252.

#6 The 252 trounces the 282.

#7 I thought I was going to die alone and unloved until I got a DR for my _______.

#8 The Naim _____ is miles better than the Linn _____.

#9 Remasters are the droppings of Satan.

#10 These jokes are awful, just awful! I've half a mind to read something else!

You get the idea. Feel free to contribute.

#52 If your power line is hanging at the same angle as your interconnect your 250k system will sound crap

# 53: The best speakers for your system are the ones that drive your room most effectively.

# 54: To really open up the sound, loosen the DIN locking ring by a half-turn.

# 55: Your Burndy needs destressing.

#59 The processor in your NAS is way under powered

#60 You don’t have enough memory in your NAS.

#61 You need a WD Red Hard Drive.

#62 TURN THE CAPS LOCK OFF. WE’RE NOT DEAF.

#63 You need to find a good dealer.

Not so easily done, it’s not as though most of them won’t screw (sorry, mug) you at the first opportunity.

Nr. 53 is actually true, and so little recognised as the reason why there is so much unhappiness after ten of thousands of £s are spent. The wrong speaker for the room will ruin everything in front of it in the replay chain, though no speaker can rescue a truly terrible recording for all that ...
