Suitable 3rd Party power cords for flatcap 2x

Posted by: Ting Choo Wai on 04 October 2015

Hi all,

I just got myself a used flatcap 2x for my xs.  However it doesnt come with a power cord.  Any recommendations on 3rd party power cords that are suitable for naim system?

Tks

Flatcap does not do much with anything other than a good quality off the self cable.

If you go for something a little more than that,  it quickly gets into a waste of money.

A Naim Tibia costs around $35. Fair price, and it's accepted as providing the Naim sound. Start dabbling in third party cables and you may find yourself in a quandary.

Useless trivia: I have noticed that the 2m standard Naim power chords shipped are "exactly" the same as those shipped with IBM Power series servers.

I was unboxing one of these a while back and took out the chord and thought "I've seen one of these before." The weight and thickness is quite unmistakable.

The used set didnt come with the original cord.  So I need to search for a third party one.

No you don't. Just buy a Tibia and be done.

Problem is Tibia cables are hard to find outside USA Joe.

I believe Tibia cables are made by Well Shin Technology Co, Taiwan.

Their US office is Conntek Integrated Solutions, Wisconsin

Note the connection Well Shin & Tibia
