Tidal has a search button

Ok, strange post perhaps, but having read some of the other posts on the forum about Tidal it seems worth pointing out: you're not restricted to the playlists on the home page, there's a search button too. You can search out any track/album/artist you want, if they have it. You can make your own playlists. If you can be bothered, you can create a collection bigger than the one you have on hard disk, and play it in pretty much the same way.

Just saying.

Haha Solid Air (great album), so glad I wasn't the only one confused by how to browse the Tidal catalogue!

As well as the search button (useful when you know what you want, less so when you are not sure), there is a "T" logo button (top right, more a logo of the Tidal diamonds) that shows a drop down menu with options for Discovery, What's New, Playlists, and the all-important Genres.

Choose Genres, and a nice selection of graphic icons shows up for jazz, blues, rock, pop, classical and other thematic collections. Pick one, and again you get a selection of ready-made playlists, hot tracks, and a few albums. At the right edge of Albums is the gold mine: "More"! This opens up a page with a hundred or so discs to browse in exactly the same way you can browse your own ripped CD collection. This is cool. This is how I've been exploring with Spotify, and now it's how I'm exploring with Tidal.

The seamless integration is really something. I never had an issue jumping out to the Spotify app, but this is convenient. Well done Naim. My decisions on which subscriptions to maintain are now up to the content providers and how comfortable I get over the trial period - my (your) hardware just makes it work, as it should. Lovely.  Thanks.
