no rooms found ...

My Android tablet tells me there are no rooms found whenever I try to start the naim app. What should I do? Nstream works ok o
n my old ipod.
Is your Naim Streamer on old firmware? The new Naim app won't work on firmware older than 3.17, where n-stream will.
Check your Android tablet is on wifi.
My Android (Azus Zenpad) Naim app fails to find rooms occasionally especially if music has been playing without interruption. I get the "cancel" or "try again" options. Generally closing the app then re-opening fixes it. It's a pain but not a show-stopper
Same Problem for me after trying repeated "try again" to link app to ND5 XS.
Found IP address on ND5 XS menu then plugged it into page on app for IP address - success!
My NDS is on firmware 4.3. Closing and reopening the app does not work. Maybe I should try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
I don't understand how to put in an IP address if the app doesn't start!
Updating the firmware to 4.4 and the app to 4.6 seems to have almost fixed the missing rooms problem with my ND5 XS.
Yes, uninstall and reinstall. It's also worth turning the NDS off then on again.

I had this issue the day after the update with my ND5XS. The issue was with IOS app but not Android. I did the factory reset as recommended (I didn't do this after update process). Seemed to fix this.
I've had this sort of issue a few times through beta testing. I've found power cycling the streamer is usually the thing that fixes it. Never had to go through the aggro of a factory reset fortunately.
Not sure if it's applicable in your case, but I use a privacy and security app which masks my IP address. When this is activated the Naim app can't find my Mu-so, but once it's disabled all is fine.
I used to have the same problem very frequently.
- it turned out that the rules in my broadband router's firewall were blocking the Bonjour service from being used via the WiFi.
Just to eliminate another possibility, my ipad fails to find rooms on occasions due to the fact that the iPad has connected to the guest network on my router. I have set guest access to not connect to my local area network just to the internet, hence the issue. Solved, obviously, by connected to a different network on the router.
Thanks everyone for your help. Switching the nds off and on again and doing the same with the wifi router did the trick. My next challenge is the 4.4 firmware update, which I will attempt if I can ever get the mini usb driver installed ...
