Noise from Stageline/Supernait

Hello, I just purchased two pre-owned components, a Supernait 1 from a private seller here in Sweden and a Stageline N from en English company. The SN performs without issues when I use it with a Apple TV. When connected to the Stageline i get a sound that could at best be described as "the sound when you put the need down on the record" perhaps slight more rumbling ans scraping. The sound scales with the volume and it's only in the right channel. It's not constant and sometimes I can get a whole listening session in without it happening, sometimes it goes on for a long time.

 

The SN and the TT is both connected to the same Musicline and I have tried switching the phase. The Stageline is powered via Aux 2 on the SN. The sound also persist even if I disconnect the TT from the stageline. I have also disconnected the Apple TV. All cables are separated from each other and I have tried moving the equipment around as well. If I disconnect the Stageline the sound disappear right away. 

 

I have tried reaching the company I bought the Stageline from without reaching them and the guy I bought the SN from hasn't used Aux 2 (he saids).

 

What do you think should be my next step? How can I at least narrow the problem down to the Stageline, cable or SN and fix it?

Sorry to read of this.

I'd try to borrow another Snaic5 cable in the first instance, and try that.

Also, swap the phono leads left to right. If the problem moves channel then it's something in the TT/arm/cable.

Hi, I'll try to find someone with another snaic I can borrow.

The sound is still there even if I dissconect the phono cables from the TT, so that isn't the problem.

I have also moved the Stageline as far away as possible from "everyting" to see if that works.

I have the same combination SN1/Stageline. I had some bad noise also. At the end the cause was my mac mini that was standing nearby the Stageline. After renoving the mini everything was fine. Just as a hint.

it seems the move of the SL as far away as possible from the SN and TT did the trick! Thanks for the support and answers guys!
