Apologies if someone has posted this, but Alan Parsons is giving a talk called "Sleeve Notes: From Mono to Infinity" at Abbey Road on a number of days starting on 13 November.

Is it really necessary for Abbey Road to charge nearly £90 for this or £160 for the VIP package?

Their events are really expensive.

Abbey Road is one of a dying breed - working, recording studios. The paying events help support the studio, and offer a unique experience to see behind the scenes at a world renowned location. Yes, it's expensive - but its worth every penny.

FYI - its cheap compared to recording there!
