Ah bugger. The recent tweet claimed it's received the readers award for 2015?

I've just seen the tweet but the link is last year's. You're probably right but it's still last year's product and the Muso is soooooo last year's news. I always see fi hi awards with a little scepticism.

It won two awards this year including the readers award, UQ 2 also won again and all three Chord Dacs won (not the TT).  Some of the wins you can pick a year in advance

I'm surprised that so many Naim customers actually read "What Hi-Fi" and have made the effort to vote for the admirable mu-so.

These stupid awards makes no sence for others than Publishers if they perform a boosted sale of the mags

I suspect that manufacturers will disagree as I'm sure award winners sell more as a result of winning. When I came back into hifi a few years ago, and was completely out of touch after being away for many many years, I relied on the music press, and its award winners, to provide me with an understanding of what was available and how good it was (or might be) and it was this that lead me to Naim via my first purchase of a Qute 2.

Exactly and also for those who are just starting out, it's a good place to get an understanding of whats out there.

...agree:hi-fi magazines are a good place to get acquainted and awards can help people, particularly newbies, avoid purchase mistakes that might both waste money and put them off music and the wonderful and expensive (especially if the drug of choice is Naim!)  world of hi fidelity...

It was awards for the KEF LS50 that connected me to Naim and I'm very happy because of it - well, maybe my wallet isn't.

Awards bring awareness of a brand, more people buy the products, the company has more cash for R&D and ultimately better new products and enhancements come as a result.  Everyone wins.
