One track at a time....
Posted by: fathings cat on 01 November 2015
When I play an album it plays one song and then stops - if states 10 songs are added to queue list but only plays one then stops.....
no no doubt it's me being a numb nuts but I can't work out why it is doing this
any thoughts?
Gary
I think you need to add some detail to your query.
what are you playing on? Software version(s). Procedure taken. Etc.
Otherwise an answer like "mine seems to be ok" would be suitable as it says nothing either.
Sure, Naim NDX, uniti serve etc, via naim app. Up until week if I click play it states X tracks added but then stops after one. I am wondering if i have pressed something in the settings by mistake.
Gary
What are you touching to start play?
What pop-up screen do you see?
I normally touch the three dots at the top right of the screen & "play" in the pop-up
.... or touch the three dots at the end of the first track & "play from this track"
.... I suspect you are touching the first track & it will play that one track
I find if I touch the first track, it adds all the tracks to the queue and plays them all. That is with ND5-XS and SuperUniti, Unitiserve, and the IOS app running on an iphone5S. I tried this right now and I can see the first track playing on my SuperUniti says 1/12. So as I expected.
i don't know whether there is a setting in the app to make it do this, but it has always worked this way for me ("always" meaning as long as I can recall and certainly since the demise of the n-stream app).

Just looked at my naim app settings and I don't have "tap for options" selected in Other Settings.
Gary it might be worth toggling this on and off again in case the app is confused about which option you want (as I have learned computers often get confused!)

Fathings cat,
My NDX and Unitiserve has done this a couple of times, I just turn everything off and back on again, and all is back to normal.
Worth a try.
Karl
Cheers all, the old IT gag of turn it off and turn it on again has done the track!
