how do you delete albums from the download folder on the Unitiserve?

Tried Windows and also Naim Desktop Client. No luck!

I just use windows explorer (in windows 7) to add or delete files in the downloads folder of my Unitiserve.  It works just like any other windows folder.  You can't delete files from the CD rip folder that way though.  I believe you can do it with the DTC, but I haven't tried myself.

So I don't know why you are having problems.  If your PC can see the downloads files, you should be able to delete them.  If your PC can't see the downloads file, then there is some sort of networking issue and my first suggestion would be to restart your router (which worked for me once when I enlisted Naim support's help and that was what Phil Harris suggested I do.)

best

The network is probably OK, you just need to map the drive.

Are you using the same computer to delete the music as was used to put the music files into the download folder?

If you aren't for some reason, it may be you're having 'ownership' problems and your current user profile doesn't have permission to delete files & folders from 'downloads'.

If you are using the same computer, what message are you seeing when it tells you that you cannot delete a file or folder?

As David says above, it should be simple !

PS - Desktop client won't manage files on the download folder... you need to use Windows.

I can see the download folder in Windows 10 and my albums are there. I just can't delete them. The delete button is greyed out!

Its very annoying!

I got it! Had to map the download folder as a network drive!

Thanks Hungryhalibut!!
