What's happened to photobucket

Posted by: hungryhalibut on 04 November 2015

I use the photobucket iPad app to post pictures on the Forum. But a few minutes ago it's started to paste something about upgrading! rather than the picture. Has anyone else had this? Can I get around it? I like the app, as it's really easy to use.

I have only recently tried to post my first photos on the forum and couldn't get Photobucket to work at all for me. Probably because I have got sausages for fingers. Anyway I now use Imageshack and have not had any problems.

Sorry, I don't know what is wrong with Photobucket.

Was that delightful mug shot uploaded using the photobucket iPad app, rather than using a computer? I wonder if there is a limit on the number of photos that one can upload to photobucket?

What's an "iPad App"?

Hi Nigel,

PB seems to be working as normal via my iMac.

I did initially get a PB URL preceded by s147. That didn't work, but a URL preceded by s77. does.

HTH.

John.

Using  MacBPro my library on Photobucket tells me my storage is 1% full (of my free allowance).

151 images to date.

Yes, it's a real swine being retired Steve! Eat your heart out...

I've had a reply from photobucket, explaining that it's not the number of photos, but the amount of times they are looked at once linked into other websites - such as the Forum of course. The total bandwidth resets each month, on the day that you signed up, which was the 7th in my case. So by the 5th I hit bthe limit, which has never happened before. If I pay $2.99 a month the limit is removed, but I'm not going to do that, as I've dropped my hours to four days a week (hurrah !) but as a consequence must economise (boo !). So long as I have a bit of headroom when the new system pics starts, all will be ok and I'll just live with it.

Or use Imageshack for free for example if your Photobucket is full.

Really looking forward to retirement now I've set a date Tony.   Busy two years then life really starts.
