HiFi Corner, Falkirk

Posted by: Judge on 05 November 2015

I see the notice of the reopening of HiFi Corner, Falkirk this coming Saturday.

I bought my first "hifi" there in around 1987, a Mission Cyrus 1 (which I still have and replaced my Technics SU-V3), and a Philips CD player, my first CD player.

Pleased to see they are still trading.

Good news and I wish them well. My favourite shop is in Montrose. Got me into the Naim Web 10 years ago. Great biscuit selection too during the dem!

Hi Fi Corner in Edinburgh was where it all began...

I used to have a part-time job at the Edinburgh shop back in the late 90's when I was a student.  I remember once exclaiming "how much?!... for that!... what the hell's a pre-amp anyway?".  Well, here I am

Good days and I wish them the very best.

Indeed. My first amp was a tuner-amp from Rotel. Might Salisbury knock one of those out anytime soon?
