What channel and time? I just tried to set the PVR and Arne Dahl is still in the BBC4 Scandi slot on Saturday.

Right day of the week, time and channel but a week too early as it starts on the 21st.

Thanks - I thought it might be that

Did a flypast a few months ago. No unusual activity to report.

Well, that was completely gripping. Can't wait until next week.

But... although Saga Noren is one of the best TV characters ever created, she needs someone warm to bounce off. Currently there's a Martin-shaped hole in the show, and neither of the sidekicks we've seen so far can ease the chill. Still, another eight episodes to go!

Brilliant series.

That car is so gorgeous, and a beautiful colour too.

Just love the way the photography plays with the light on it's iconic shape - during the night drive scenes.

Saga does indeed need a Kirk to her Spock, and Henrik isn't that, for all sorts of reasons(!)

I have hopes that Martin may come back. Saga may(or not) have been wrong about her mother, perhaps she was about Martin too? It seemed out of character, and stupid, and there are quite a lot of plot overhangs from S2. Mainly, who killed Gertrud, but also why Saga picked the cup out of the trash and where it went.

Love the show. The acting, the characters, the porsche, the theme song, the way Saga says 'o' for yep. Terrific.

Article in the Observer (in the Food magazine of all places) today says that Martin (Kim Bodnia) decided between series 2 and 3 that he wanted out. So unfortunately it seems that Martin isn't likely to rejoin Saga.

David/Rod - Apparently they'd written four episodes when Bodnia said he wanted out, so a bit of hasty rewriting was needed. Seems to have worked out OK though - my initial reservations have been entirely dispelled.

I'm not missing Martin at all - I think  Henrik is much more interesting.

I am beginning to think they are overdoing the pressure on Saga even though it is bringing out new depths in her character.

Saga has some kind off brain damage. Autism ( impaired social interaction) might be a good guess.

Im loving this latest series, Saturdays' episodes were marvellous, if a little gruesome occasionally

(my, what nice baubels you have on your Christmas tree, and as for your Santa hat....!).

I think youre right Pev, the pressure is really mounting on Saga, hopefully they dont break her.

But am I correct that this is billed as the last series? (I'm thinking of you Kevin-W, you normally have good insights!).

If it is then maybe that is the direction that Saga is headed in. Hope not though...

I dont no the end off course. But Saga commiting suicide would not suprise me at all.

I think it is probably supposed to be Aspergers, which is a kind of autism.  But this isn't brain damage.  Rather she is differently enabled to the average person and it isn't just political correctness which makes me prefer to look at it that way.  Anyway I think she is a terrific character and imho The Bridge is one of the best of the Nordic programmes to have made it to UK TV.

Brilliant humour this time too. Between this and Fargo we're spoiled for choice atm. Christmas TV will seem such a let-down.

No I don't think she would do that. It simply wouldn't be logical.

You could re-watch the boxed sets of series one and two over Christmas.  My wife and I came late to The Bridge and saw the whole of series two over three nights before it expired on iplayer. I was seeing a green Porsche out of the corner of my eye whenever I went out of the house......

Why would we do that?. We have seen them already.

To enjoy all the nuances you missed and re-enjoy the bits you especially liked the first time round I suppose.

Okay....leather trousers.... how do you clean them and how often do they need cleaning?

You know what I mean, must be a bit stifling I'd have thought.

Hi Chris - to be honest, I have refrained from talking about The Bridge to my Danish friends (series 3 finished on 29th November over there) because I don't want to know what happens, so I can't help you there...

I guess all will be revealed (or not!) on Saturday - cant wait.

Well, that was a pretty amazing finale. I won't say any more just in case any of you reading this forum have still to view the final episodes.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I have been even more gripped by this series than by the excellent original series.

I would contrast this view with that of another current series that I have just completed watching that promised to be almost as good, but in the end in spite of its cast, turned out (in my opinion) to be wooden, rambling and shambolic in its production and direction - "The Last Panthers". It could have been so much better.
