Thank you.

Actually I have not alternatives but my Hiline and, honestly, I'm not going to look for any other. It would be good enough to have a little improvement on Hiline itself.

The prices of the TQ cable can put some off but I'm believe if you can afford their diamond range (silver & black) they are right at the top of the pile when it comes to high end cables and a great way to instantly improve the sound of your system. ive seen some good deals recently on the usual forums for high end TQ cables, so deals are out there.

Knipester, what speakers? I also use RI-100 and TQ Black Into 3-way ARTs.

+1

I've previously used an RCA-DIN HiLine, and an RCA-DIN AR Lunar, to connect my various DACs (Hugo/2Qute/HugoTT and now Resonessence Mirus) to my Supernait2, and concur completely with you.

I'm now also running TQ Black Diamond RCA-RCA from Mirus to amp and it's simply the best sounding interconnect I've heard, combining a sense of smoothness, musicality and detail in spades. The HiLine by comparison seems a tad forward and "shouty". Of course this also flies in the face of the perceived wisdom that DIN cables sound better with naim gear, but there we go.

I'm also running TQ Black speaker cable into my Spendor D7s so there may be additional synergy as a result of that.

My set up consists of a auralic Aries, into chord Hugo via tellurium q graphite digital IC, into my vitus RI-100 (on stillpoint ultra ss) via tellurium black diamond IC's. This all feeds my shahinian obelisk mk2 speakers

I'm a very, very happy listener!

Never heard Obs, more's the pity. A mate (Eastyorkie on this site) has an Aries feeding into his Vitus Sig Dac - very posh.

Enjoy.

ok, but you are running TQ Black "Diamond" which are more than double the price of TQ Black (and even more expensive than Hiline itself), aren't they?

thank and regards,

Stefano

Fair comment but I did have a pair of TQ blacks, before the diamonds and I think they were easily a match for the hiline din to RCA I used between my 252/hugo

Hi Stefano,

Yes, the price comparison is a fair comment, although in my experience more expensive doesn't always equal "better". I found the AR Lunar superior to the equivalent HiLine for instance,  with better bass definition, and a more musical presentation, without sacrificing any detail. Others on this this forum have found the same, and that's half the price of the HiLine.

Initially I auditioned the TQ Black interconnect (again much cheaper than the HiLine), and preferred the presentation to the HiLine. I only ended up with the Black Diamond as they became available at a very reasonable price from the well known auction site, otherwise I'd have bought the TQ Black.

Regards,

Phil.

I agree with Phil, if you can find TQ cables at reduced prices rather than paying full new price it is always the way to go.
