Mu-so hints and tips....

As a new owner I thought I would pass on some of my thoughts with some tips. Firstly I found the Mu-so to be very sensitive to where it is located, placing it on various coffee tables and other wooden supports resulted in a somewhat bass heavy sound, I then moved it into the kitchen, on top of my kitchen glass table, and the sound was transformed with a nice tight bass and open treble. My hunch is that it might also sound even better placed onto tallish speaker stand/s but wonder if anyone has tried this ? Wonder if there are any dedicated stands for the Mu-so planned ?
Turning to some tips, I replaced the mains cable with a higher quality item and found that this made a significant improvement in the sound quality, I also used the old trick of adding four blobs of Blutak underside of the unit which also tightened up the bass another notch. I found the unit sounded best when placed nine inches from the rear wall, even a small deviation from this distance made a big difference to the sound.
Lastly, I wonder if any future firmware might allow bass and treble to be changed individually and it would also be nice to have more preset radio stations ( on the volume dial ) as I am finding that five is not enough, perhaps up to ten could be preset ?
Very interested to hear of any other tips.
