i have a feeling Bairstow may still be ahead for the test team though. Room for both?

 

i have all to say not sorry to wave goodbye to Ian Bell, who's has frustrated me a lot over the years. A bit tougher selectorial policy might have ended it a year or so ago.

I think if someone could give Bell the gritty determination seen in Aussie batsman he'd be world class as he has the technique and talent.

Absolutely. I think he annoyed me all the more because he just looked so good but never made quite enough runs when they really counted. Too many 30's that should have been 50's or 100's.

 

Good, classy, great to watch at times but will never be a 'great' for me.
