Help with system install

Posted by: Cbr600 on 22 November 2015

Folks.i have a 552/500 system with a hdx and a turntable connected.

Following a rebuild of the full system i now have the problem of only getting sound to one speaker.

If i move the balance over to the quiet speaker and crank up the volume i can just barely hear the sound.

I am working on basis of installing a cable incorrectly or some other idiot problem, but i cannot figure it out.

Issue is same on all sources

Anyone with any ideas, would appreciate help

Provided they were sharpened with a pencil sharpener powered by a powerline I really can't see for the life of me what difference that would make, John.

Au contraire mon frère .. the "B" would have most undoubtedly left graphite residue on the tines .. the others would not.  Could make all the difference ..

Good result. Glad you got it sorted and interested to hear how. Have fun.

Damn. Now you've got me looking up the electrical conductivity of graphite.

Sorry to disappoint, but the final tool of choice was a novelty mini candle wand from childs birthday party, a star on a small thin wood stick. That way there was no risk of residual graphite transfer !!

Careful Cbr. There may have been some detrimental fairy dust on that wand.
