Nait 3r help!!

Due to a Child induced early demise, my nait 3r is no more, I am loathed to go down the pre/power route again

not being a big fan of the 5 series (apart from my supernait) I am trying to find a replacement.

any suggestions?

The 3r is rather rare. Would a 3 suffice? There are lots of those around.

Yep loads on eBay if you are prepared to pay a bit or do you really think it is ok to come on here and try to pounce one.

I was hoping that someone may be able to convince me that a non R would sound just as good and if I wanted to 'pounce' on one I'm not sure that 14 stone would do it any good

Refreshing to see someone willing to place a bargain price over the convenience of a remote. Will you be using the phono stage?

3R is better than the standard 3. They modified it quite a bit inside and the improvement is easily audible. Why not get a 5i-2? Better than 3R but no phono facility.

I was a long time 3R user and if I were to replace it, 5i-2 is it. Naim got it right with this one.
