Focal Scala and Maestro

Has anyone heard with Naim 500 and what was your thoughts. Is a 500 enough to drive Maestro? No dealer in my city. Difference between the two when driven by 500?

Thanks in advance

I have had the pleasure of hearing the Utopia III Scala V2s fronted by CDS555/552/500 and was very impressed by the deep and well-controlled bass, detail resolution and soundstage. It was very easy to follow multiple instrumental lines and understand what the musicians were doing. As I guess you're aware, the sound (frequency response) can be tailored to your particular requirements and it was certainly interesting to experiment with the treble - 'flat' was best

The sound is neutral and I guess some might find it a little 'cold'.  I found it very impressive but lacking in 'boogie factor' - a term which many on here use and I can't think of a better way of describing it.  So for some types of music the system is superb, for others e.g. Rock you should probably look elsewhere.

i have never heard the Maestros.
