Ndx loses Wi-Fi connection

I just had a brand new naim ndx installed. For the past few days I see that the ndx would lose Wi-Fi connection to my router after midnight, not sure the exact time but I can be sure I cannot find the ndx from the android app early in the morning.

Below is some information of the unit and my configuration
1. Ndx on latest firmware 4.4.01
2. Connected to router through Wi-Fi
3. Tried both dhcp and static IP on the ndx, no help.
4. Router dhcp release set to 365 days, no help
5. Router is the current generation of apple airport extreme.
6. When the connection is lost, ndx sees my router just that the status is not connected.

I always leave the input on Tidal and when the Wi-Fi lose connection, cycling the inputs back to Tidal shows input initializing. After this, the Wi-Fi is connected again.

I am suspecting the issue could be with tidal input. Anyone know why this is happening and the fix? I have also written to naim support and waiting for their reply. Thanks.

Can you manage a wired connection to the NDX?

What Hungry Halibut says, but also have you tried leaving it on another input overnight yet just to see if your connection remains intact as a double check regarding it being leaving it on the Tidal input that is your issue?

One other thing comes to my mind - do you have any power management in operation on your router?

Could it be that your router switches off overnight maybe?

Could be worth a check perhaps.

Yes try and do wired.. A whole load of variables will disappear with a regular wired Ethernet connection. Yes I would strongly recommend you let your new NDX get its network details via DHCP.. Again thT avoids a whole load of potential grief.

Going wired will be ideal but unfortunately my router is 10 meters away and this will take some work. The next option is to use my Apple airport express and connect to the ndx as a access point. I have been using this method with my previous streamers UQ2 and Moon Mind 180d. This method of connection is rock solid.

For now, if the NDX wifi is stable i would prefer to use it. I have an impression using the airport express method may introduce noise to the system. I could be wrong...

This morning, I looked at my router log and see the following error at 4:17am

WPA handshake failed with STA 00:11:f6:ae:0d:a2 likely due to bad password from client

I had the same error with my Moon mind 180d before and wondered if this is due to the Apple extreme router. Again never had issue when used the airport express as an access point.

Tonight I will switch to another input on the NDX and see if the same error occurs overnight. If all if fine, then Naim may have a bug with the Tidal input.
