Uniti and playlists

Posted by: Arkanoid Bob on 16 May 2011

Hi guys,

I have an issue with my Uniti. Maybe someone can help me
I'm using USB input. Basically I'm not able to make my pls and m3u playlists work. I tried creating them from wmp and vlc, nothing... I tried to edit the m3u files using every possible path format... both windows ("\") and linux ("/") path style, both absolute and relative paths, audio in the same folder or in a subfolder... same result: whenever I press ok on a playlist my Uniti just ignores it and starts playing what's in that folder in alphabetical order.
Can you please confirm that playlist playback is supported?

Uniti details:
Version 2.00
Boot version 1.20
Bought 5 months ago in Australia

Hi,

I've never tried creating playlists on a USB - always use CD or streaming.

But I'll have a go this evening and see what I can find. IMHO it shouldn't be a problem.

BTW: Did you buy the Uniti new? If so (and it's only five months old) I think you need to get the upgrade on the software version there.

Anyway, on USB I'll have a go and see what I find.

Hi,

Playlists are only support via UPnP and right now there are now plans to add this feature to USB. Sorry to be the bringer of bad news

Hi Tom,

But, for example, how does the Uniti read tracks from a USB key? If i had, say 50 HD tracks on a pendrive how would the Uniti order them? As they are listed as I see them on the computer?

Sorry to be a pain!

Jon
