Christmas Wish List.

Posted by: Steve J on 09 December 2015

OK chaps and chapesses. It's that time of year again when we have to write that letter to dear Father Christmas in the hope we receive some lovely presents on the 25th, assuming we have been good boys and girls. So what's on your wish list?

Mine is a 4-5 pin SL IC, so it doesn't look like I'll be getting anything this year.

I guess I'll have to make do with some shaving cream from Taylor's of Jermyn St.

A nice pair of Oliver Sweeny slippers to wear whist listing to any new vinyl that may arrive.

Merry Christmas Steve... G

Lots of vinyl, and a stillpoint LP-1 for my turntable, are top of my lists.

World Peace, and that would be for everyone. For myself, nothing.

It would be nice to have a solution to the greenhouse effect, but that also looks unlikely ...

For myself, a few days of relaxing, listening to music, and enjoying the company of friends and family.

For Donald Trump, a terminal case of laryngitis.

Happy Holidays to all my forum friends!

Actually my 50th birthday tomorrow. I'd just like to be able to get to our hotel in Cumbria for the weekend!

As for Xmas, just good news on some test results for my wife. 'Stuff' is irrelevant. We only ever buy the house an Xmas present rather than things for each other anyway. If it goes OK we will have fun choosing something next year.

On a wider note I'd like the Government to remember that NHS and Social Care are interlinked, and helping one with (very little) extra money is utterly pointless if the other sector collapses. Sadly the new living wage legislation, funding gaps and the heavy hand of the CQC are causing community and residential care services to fall apart right now. The domino effect into primary and secondary care is already happening and will get worse.

Not very festive I'm afraid.

That's a good plan. Enjoy

Love and universal peace.

Seems like a good idea.

Just the company of family will be fine,we can get "toys" anytime.

A very modest request, but rather complicated. I would meet some of you, with which I'm in contact.

If someone pass nearby Milano (Italy)...

Happy 50th Birthday Bruce. I was 50 in November, started celebrating in the summer with a great family holiday and hope to spend the next six months celebrating. I wasn't sure about hitting 50, and now it's here i'm cool with it. Great news about your wife, it really puts everything into prospective.

My Christmas wish, the return of Peter to the forum, and whilst I'm at it a return of some of the other guys who no longer post here!!!

Thanks dustysox.

Unfortunately we are still waiting for Santa to deliver the good news for my wife. Fingers crossed.

Enjoy your birthday, Bruce, and let's hope for positive results. Waiting is just so hard.

We don't want or need anything for Christmas, just to relax and all be together at the end of another challenging year.

You know your welcome here if you visit the London area.

Congratulations Bruce. A fine milestone to celebrate but I too hope your wife's tests prove negative.

I also have a 'big' birthday just after Xmas but unfortunately it's more of a millstone than a milestone as I'll be 60.

Perhaps you young folk should consider the alternatives to these milestone birthdays. Wish you both the best!
