System Pics 2016
Posted by: hungryhalibut on 15 December 2015
It's that time of year again, so welcome to System Pics 2016. Let's hope it's a happy and healthy year for everyone.
Here's are a couple of pictures of my stuff to get us started: with the exception of a Powerline everything is changed since this time last year, even the carpet and paintwork.

Looks terrific HH- nice and tidy. The SL2's really suit your space - enjoy.

Nigel, for 2016 I've decided to follow your example, downgrade and cut down on the number of boxes. ![]()
I hope you have a good xmas and a great new year!![]()

HH starting his annual thread a little early this year :-)
I think your reno (and your gear) looks great btw.
Working on some changes / refinements to my space and have some new gear coming for my rack... looking forward to submitting once everything is just exactly perfect.
As premature as a HiFi magazine :-)
Hi all. First post ever of my modest system, consisting of a Supernait, Rega Apollo, Dune HD media server for the FLAC collection, and a REL sub. Stock cables, except from some custom silver foil interconnects for the Rega. NACA-5. Room is huge -- there's as much behind me as there is the shot. I'd love to pile a few more Naim boxes into the space. I'm in awe of some of what I've seen in past and current System Pics. I now have a drool bib permanently by my computer.
As you can see, we're starting to get ready for Christmas. Please ignore the big empty space on the right side of the back wall. In theory, there's another large painting on its way, though not a match for the works in the middle, which I inherited from a charming but moderately daft uncle. Also, please ignore the little thingies standing on the speakers. There was much negotiation, and the affixing of rubbery stuff on the base of each of those objects...<sigh>....
Hope y'all have a great Christmas, and a happy and healthy 2016. Auguri da Toscana!
Steve

I love Italian rooms, that's great.
Sorry for the slightly early start - it's been the 21st for the last few years, but next week is busy and I didn't want to forget!
Let's see some more pictures.....

This year with Rega RP3 Edition, Naim CD5i, Supernait, Stageline and B&W CM9.
Sorry about the poor quality, picture I mean!
Timbo
I admire your restraint!
Rj .. my man .. Rj .. at quick count you have 12 remotes on your table and couch, 12 ? Really, 12 ? Plus what looks like a tablet on the table and another on the couch which because of their proximity to the other remotes have to be .. remotes ? Tell me one is for the clock on the back wall ...
Fabulous looking system sir .. a real man cave .. fabulous ..
I was going to say no room for feet - you'd knock a remote control onto the floor! ![]()
Am I the only person who can't see most of the photos in this thread? I can see them in posts by Tony, Fog and RJStaines but not in any others. Is this another Hopeless Hoopla situation?
Well, I can see them all on my iPhone. System Pics isn't going to work very well if half the forum members can't see them!
I've often found this to be a bit of a problem in the past, especially on iPhone, but only rarely on my Macbook. Since the new forum started, it has become significantly worse on all devices, and not just on this thread.

Half? Where'd you come up with that?
Timbo's picture is the only one missing for me, but he apologized in advance for the poor quality.

Looks good (colour scheme is very nice BTW) - It's a shame more speakers aren't designed for close to wall placement. Far more elegant.

Thanks John. Remotes are for TV, lighting, & (out of shot) Blu-ray, A/V amp, DAT player, reel-to-reel, DAB radio, SKY box... and another one that I have no idea what it's for
Apart from my earlier request for beta members to please not post/attach images using the forum as host (not all can see these), all seems to be working OK. I can see all images on an MBP, Windows machines, iPhone, iPad. Hoop La have investigated and likewise there appears to be no issue - after all they're just http links so if one works then they should all work. Try logging out, clearing all cache and then logging back in. Chris and Joe, if you are still having problems please let me know what device and OS are you using?
i really like how HH integrated the setup in his room, and the room itself.
congrats, HH!

Richard,
Checking my two PCs, Timbo's pic is not seen on my Windows 8.1 - IE notebook, but shows on my Windows XP - Google desktop.
Agreed, very tasteful and well thought out HH. You must have one of the best mid-range Naim systems extant, what with SL cables and XPS2 and all. Nicely done!
As it is today.. Will change the amp in the beginning of next week.. :-) Any guesses gentlemen?
