It's that time of year again, so welcome to System Pics 2016. Let's hope it's a happy and healthy year for everyone.
Here's are a couple of pictures of my stuff to get us started: with the exception of a Powerline everything is changed since this time last year, even the carpet and paintwork.
No changes in 2015, very happy with the system. 552 and 500 will require overhaul in 2016 as they are both first generation. DR upgrade is also in the plans.
I'm always wowed by your pics, Chris. The system, the room and especially the view. Wonderful.

I really enjoy browsing through all these different systems and room setups, so please let me contribute some pictures of my listening area right next to the dining table / work desk table.
Most of the time I listen to music while doing some work or having dinner - this is when I choose convenient replay from my MacBook. For dedicated music listing on my listing chair or with friends coming over, I prefer vinyl.
Usually I listen at very moderate volume (9am on the volume knob, max 10) and prefer speed, timing and a nice vocals over deep bass, thus the 2-way bookshelf speakers. And in my eyes they look much nicer in this small listening area compared to the ones I had before.
Please feel free to comment - cheers, p.
Nice minimalist setup - lots of potential. Are the speakers Atohm GT1s? If so how do they get along with the XS?
Thanks, ICONOCLAST. The speakers are custom made by my NAIM dealer:
Scan-Speak tweeters same model als used in old NAIM speakers (SBL, DBL...)
Scan-Speak midwoofer 15W/9531 G01 paper cone reinforced with wood fibre
Crossover with Mundorf Supreme silver-gold-oil Caps
The dealer also offers Ovators, B&W, Kudos and some other brands, but for my ears and music his custom made series gives me the most listening pleasure.
Interesting - they look a lot like the GT1 Special Edition that were made for Devialet. I've been trying to get hold of a pair without having to buy the whole kit but no dice.

I actually hate these pictures; cheap system, crummy view, dumpy house - what's not to hate?
If I lived there I don't know that I would ever leave that room - just slide my meals under the door.
Always a stunning and "envy" producing set of pics from Chris...absolutely breathtaking.

Hi RJ,
Gorgeous system and room, plus an ingenious solution to the excessive width of the Fraim.
I see you have B&W centre and rears for the surround sound, but what exact models are they and do you find they integrate well with the stereo fronts?
I have B&W 804Ds with Monitor Audio and would like to go for all B&W, but can't justify the money or the space required for an all 800 surround package.

Put the photobucket app on your iPad. Upload the pictures to photobucket. Copy the direct link. Hit the little mountain along the top bar of the add reply box. Paste the direct link. Done.
Chris - did you do any measurements before going for your acoustic panels, or did you just give them a go? I like the look of those - they're almost art - and could easily imagine some on the wall behind my seating position.

TV seems too small - a recommended upgrade would be a projector and drop-down screen to fill the area between the main speakers, so that video experience better complements the aural...

Good question - I was wondering the same thing.
Those diffusion panels are supposed to improve mid and high frequencies but in what way? By attenuating them or by making them more focused?
I could always use a bit more focus and articulation in the bass and/or a bit less shouty in the mids but I don't have a problem with sibilance or over etched treble.

Might be worth sending Vicoustics an email?
For a modest fee, they will analyze your room and provide recommendations. Perhaps not as precise as an in house measurement, but useful nonetheless.
My room has benefited from their products , and yes , they look quite nice for acoustic treatments.

Very impressive indeed, Adam.
But how on Earth do you reach the books in the top shelf? Are you an ex basketball player by any chance?

Very neat and tidy Adam- I really like the esthetic. What wood is your LP12 plinth?

I'd have to be a veeeeeerrrryyyy tall one
There is a movable ladder - visible in the first pic, behind a speaker. That's what the chrome railing is for.

Thanks Mark. It's oak. Chosen purely to match the oak floor and a shelf it sits on

Gorgeous system Adam. Looks to have a high SAF, in the 9+ range.
