System Pics 2016
Posted by: hungryhalibut on 15 December 2015
It's that time of year again, so welcome to System Pics 2016. Let's hope it's a happy and healthy year for everyone.
Here's are a couple of pictures of my stuff to get us started: with the exception of a Powerline everything is changed since this time last year, even the carpet and paintwork.

You know that the DBLs are supposed to be hard up against the wall, don't you? They must sound a bit weird like that.

That's lovely. The twenty.21s are super speakers and look great on the PMC stands. Small is beautiful.

But some people like them that way.

Hi! Is it a Nima on LP12? If yes what do you think of it? I'm thinking to change the RB250 for a Nima.
Thanks a lot!
Love that room Fred.
Thank you, Gary! The Windows are not optimal, but it works really well. I used to have Allaes, but theese Sbls are even better in my room.

Nice to see that Delos happily grooving to the music James. I hope life is treating you and yours tolerably well.

Greetings Gianluigi,
I used to run a Nima on my LP12. The latest incarnation of the Nima tonearm is now even better and it sounds delightfully Aro-like for sure. The anagram is no coincidence!
In short, the RB250 sounds somewhat grey and lifeless by comparison - to these ears anyway.
Go for it. You'll love it.
John.

I'm certainly enjoying them!! Used to own 23s but the misses wouldn't allow 'big' speakers this time. I'm looking forward to future Naim upgrades and getting even more out of them :-)

Hey thanks John! Did read a lot of forums and looks like it works fine. One of my next upgrades. ![]()

That photo deserves to be on the 'Nice Photographs' thread, Tony.

Cool! A Focal fireplace...

Lovely style Fred, really cool. What's the Linn sitting on please?
Little change to mine, upgraded the arm on my Sondek to an Ittok. Sounds sweet and looks awesome. Also added a little wall shelf for the record that i'm listening to, in order save my back, all the bending up and down changing records kill me!![]()

Thanks! The Eames is not a Edge of the seat chair. More a very laid back seat. Perhaps more valve-chair perhaps: )

Lovely picture! Love the sideboard. The Shelf is a quite simple one from pro-ject. It is really rigid, and works great isolating the lp12 from the sideboard escaping vibrations and movement.
Fred
Thanks Fred

It is two metalpieces screwed together and a PDF-piece on spikes. Feels rigid. Probably not the best out there, but definately does the job isolating.

There is something quite cool about an LP12 sitting on an elegant (not a rack) piece of furniture.

I think I'm gonna like it when I can revert back to the other system.
John.
Nait 2 drove the Titans just fine when we tried mine at Signals a couple of years back .....
