Nice Wilsons, Naijeru! Bet your apartment neighbors love you!

It's that time of year again, so welcome to System Pics 2016. Let's hope it's a happy and healthy year for everyone.
Here's are a couple of pictures of my stuff to get us started: with the exception of a Powerline everything is changed since this time last year, even the carpet and paintwork.

Some nice speakers on this page: Jonas's Kudos Titan 808s and Naijeru's Wilson Audio Sophias. And the latter with the obligatory LP12 front end too. Very nice.

I like this configuration, looks great, with the exception of that snakes wedding underneath! You need told!
Wedding? That looks like a full-blown orgy to me.
Don't spoil their fun! I have been expecting to move house for a few months now so I have left getting the mains supply sorted out. They are all mains cables (apart from the TV aerial cable) so the real problem there is the speaker cable's proximity. It looks better behind the Hutter but the advantage of not having high stacks is countered by the difficulty of getting burndies to hang free.
Haha sorry I couldn't resist
I do like those speakers and stands they look fantastic!

When I saw that photo I thought the same thing - then realized he was in Brooklyn and feared for his safety! ![]()
Wilsons are always nice to see and great to hear. How did the S-200 compare to the Ref 150 Naijeru? ![]()
Chag -
Compared to many on this thread my system is modest, but I love it!

That's very nice indeed. The 272/250 may be modest compared to some, but it certainly doesn't sound modest. It's nice to see the ATCs, which are a speaker I'd like to hear one day. Not sure about that little box though!

Very nice system! What platforms do you use under your Naim boxes?
Here’s my embryonic Naim system (only the Dac V1 so far…….)
I’ve also included the mobile acoustic solution I’ve been trialling but trying to get a Boxer to sit where he’s told is like putting an octopus in a string bag!! Lol
A Naim power amp will be added at some point but enjoying both the Dac and the forum so far.

Did you choose the speaker colour to match the dog? If so, you did very well. Perhaps systems with pets could be a new thread.

Thanks and the ATC's are a delight. I'm surprised there are only a few forum members that appear to use them as for me they were head an shoulders above several of the speakers that find favour here. However I fully accept speakers are very subjective.
I need to proceed with caution re "the little box" as my post has already been moderated. It has proven excellent value for the money and very beneficial but is a stop gap until I have the funds for an XPS.

Thanks.
I've used 2 sheets of glass exactly the same spec as Naim Fraim with 3 Audio Serenity spike shoes that hold 10mm ball bearings in-between. The inspiration came from a long running thread "Of cups, nuts, balls, cones, glasses and racks" started by HUGE, and for the money works a treat. Also looks good on the HiFi Racks stand which is a bonus.

Very nice, was the glass ordered custom or Googled as a local supplier?
HiFi racks look pretty decent on their site.

I ordered the glass from Futureglass in the UK at around £27 per sheet delivered. The quality is excellent and way beyond some a local glazier has previously done for me.
The HiFi rack stuff is great and much more acceptable to the good lady unlike many other racks on the market. They will make to bespoke sizes and sound excellent!
Thanks for the kind remarks everyone!
@DrMark I'm a Brooklyn boy myself so I can handle the neighbors! I'm also fortunate to be bounded by a stairwell on one side and an electrical closet on the other so not much to worry about. Not that it matters because the Sophias provide great satisfaction even at polite volumes.
@Chag The S-200 is truly a very special amplifier that is easy to take for granted. When I had a 150 in its place while the S-200 was in the shop (issue: operator error) I was truly astonished at its capabilities. The 150 is incredible and I could totally live with it had I not experienced the wholeness and ease of use of the S-200. I've reached the end of the line regarding amplification; any further upgrades will be to my LP12.

Try using just a single sheet of glass, with the cone things direct onto the wood. I suspect it will be better, as the second sheet of glass will never sit flat on the wood. Less to dust too.
@MusicNuttyBoy I'd be interested in sourcing a sheet or two of glass from FutureGlass. Could you email me the spec you requested from them? Could I quote your order number to ensure I got the same thing? I've added my email address into my profile. TIA.

I've just dropped you an email
My contribution:
Dan.S,
Great looking, well organized room. Winnie-the-Pooh & crew make for huggable, functional acoustic treatments - clever!

Lol - I am originally a Staten Island boy myself, but worked in Bensonhurst for 3 years (summers and holidays from college) so I have some Brooklyn familiarity - drove over the "Guinea Gangplank" & back every day!

I love maple finish most. I have had black SBLs, cherry SBLs, cherry Arivas, cherry S-400s and Sats in all finishes and what I liked most were my maple Sats. That light shade was very elegant and magnified the beauty of the curves. I envy yours (SL2s not curves).
