It's that time of year again, so welcome to System Pics 2016. Let's hope it's a happy and healthy year for everyone.
Here's are a couple of pictures of my stuff to get us started: with the exception of a Powerline everything is changed since this time last year, even the carpet and paintwork.

That looks really nice Adam - classy.

I have a pair of these in my attic. They are such a nice pair of speakers and if my wife wasn't a child minder they would be in my main system.

plan to upgrade to 250DR, but the speakers are here to stay and, just enjoy the music

@ Focal: A plea. Focal, Naim has ceased manufacturing loudspeakers, ok; but at least for your models designed and voiced by them, an acceptable look might perhaps be allowed?
Thanks

Massimo, you must get on message. Big and blingy is the new small and discreet.
Beautiful sunday dinner together,
272/xp5xs/250dr and a old Thorens TD145 mkII with Ascendo C8C in the middle of the room... I ♥ it.
That looks very smart, but do take the 272 off the other boxes. Place it to the right and it will sound a lot better. I suppose a proper Hifi stand is not an option?
Looks a lovely room. Interesting looking speakers, what are they?
You might want to consider separating your components a bit, at minimum moving the preamp away from the (transformers in the) other boxes. It'll sound better, for free.
Edit: Sorry, was being think and not reading the post properly when I asked what the speakers are. They do look nice in the room, though.

Great setup and great room - they look interesting speakers too.

Hi together,
i put the nac to right side, have it before... If it sound different, i don't know...
And my lovely old Rack, a rare one from micro seiki.
Im based in Dusseldorf, Germany. Came over ;-))
Ascendo speakers are not popular but they are very, very good. (ascendo.de)

I'd taken it as a given that you weren't in Britain, you've too much space and style :-)

One of those three words is right.
Hello,
since a month I´ve got a new phono-cartridge for my beloved REGA RP6 - the "Colibri XPG" from "van den Hul":

It replace my two years old ACE SL from Benz Mircosystems and sounds absolutely amazing.
Since the day it came into my setup, the streamer even got a second to play - the new cartridge simply blows the streaming-part of my 172 away
.
Buying a lot of new vinyl since that...
Now what do you think - can a 272 reach up the level of the phono-part?
Or must I add an additional XPS to the 272?
The hole setup is: Lehmann Audio "Decade" as phono-pre with NF-cable fast-audio "black sience" (RCA to DIN) into 172/200 with Snaic and NACA5 to Kudos Super10 / B&W PV1D-Subwoofer.
Btw:
the white vinyl is the new fantastic album "Love is a fridge" from the german band "Me and my drumer" - not the best pressing at all, but music is first:

If you like to keep your Naim boxes on top of your LP rack, I would recommend that you place them on a glass shelf, and isolate the shelf from the suface with some VibraPods.
I spent one night in Dusseldorf, and I absolutely LOVED it - went to the Altstadt and walked around myself down to the Rhine, and I just really wished I could live there. Of course reality may be quite different, but it made a very favorable impression on me. I even took an adult ed German class shortly after, but I don't remember much of anything, although I still have all the books and resources.

I made some pictures for you. With the ferry across the rhine to my office in the Altstadt.
Have a sunny day.

That's a stunning looking room Ron!
I wouldn't mess the looks of it up with a 'proper' hifi rack either. If you're happy with the sound of the system then leave it all as it is.
