System Pics 2016
Posted by: hungryhalibut on 15 December 2015
It's that time of year again, so welcome to System Pics 2016. Let's hope it's a happy and healthy year for everyone.
Here's are a couple of pictures of my stuff to get us started: with the exception of a Powerline everything is changed since this time last year, even the carpet and paintwork.

"Dont think I have the IT skills to fly a streamer"
If you want to try your first steps into the world of streaming I can recommend getting a (s/h) Sonos Connect.
I bought one (only for spotify duties, hooked up to my Unitiqute's dac) earlier this year and it really was as easy as many people and Sonos claimed it to be. (and it has a great, intuïtive app)
I hooked it up and within 2 minutes it was working and has been working flawless ever since. I don't have any knowledge of IT/computer network, etc either. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see it all worked out so smooth.
If it doesn't live up to your wishes/demands, you can easily sell it without any (worth mentionable) loss.
If you do like it, it may pave your way into Naim streaming audio. (the Naim app looks great, when browsing through cover-art on a table/Ipad)
Thanks Alco, but my comment was tongue in cheek. I can stream in various ways but prefer not to. CDS3/LP12 seem to be good enough for my ears. I do use Spotify to check out new music before buying. But the its CD or LP for me....
If only I could post a bloody picture
Stu
Aah, I see. Totally understandable, Stu! Both CDS3/LP12 are superb sources.
Sometimes when using Spotify I also miss the feel of owning an album myself.

Got this Muso Qb for my office. This little thing is absolutely stunning! Something big delivered in a small package!

Pawson6844, how do you find the synergy between your GX300 and the system? I'm running Gold100 myself on a SU and thinking about either get the new Gold200 or Elac 407.
Wonderful setup, btw.

Thanks, we like them. I can't really compare them to anything else because that's the only speaker we have had while the system has grown. They are part of a 5.1 so the Hifi side has grown into them. We can still hear system improvements through them no problem. They have really come alive with the 250dr. They're maybe not people's first choice but they work well for us. Look really good too.

Yes - another Monitor Audio GX300! As far as I know that makes 3 of us on this forum
MA GX 300's are the new Sopra 2's don't you know!![]()

Well Camlan, still no Active Focal Speakers, and this is well after Naim ceased production of the Ovators. Round up the guys and start a post, on how Linn is reaching out to Kudos, PMC, JBL, B&W, and Kef with there inferior digital Aktiv Exakt technology. And Explain the difference between Snaxo's analog approach vs Exakt's digital approach.
Please!
Who knows, maybe Focal/Naim R&D might be listening.
BTW, I love your System!
Allante93!
Apologies for poor picture quality. A recent addition to my set up. Rega Aria phono stage!

Afterg20 - Aria will sound much better if peel the foil off the front ![]()
I like the set up!
White plinth looks good too - if i ever got back into vinyl, I would definitely get a non-black plinth - really makes the TT pop IMHO. Wood grains or in the case of a modern looking one like this, a color.

Just to let you know - Aria willl benefit from good interconnects - you don't have to go over the top though.
Also a decent power supply cable gives it a bit of help, but that's an icing on a cake.
Enjoy the music - that's the most important thing.

Hi, +1 to that, I used to have the Aria's, first class speakers
I think Adam was referring to the plastic film on the front of the Aria phonostage along with the IC and PS comments ![]()

Suns out . Better get the shades on.

Nice gents...
Forget Brexit and politics for a moment, I've had a cabinet reshuffle of my own ![]()

Also got a mint one of these for a good price so I am just going keep it for my collection and occasionally swap out the 32.5. I am at the point where I have managed to source an old system that looks brand new, very pleased ![]()

Some lovely mint examples of CB gear you have there, looks great
Lovely looking CB kit...I bet the LTJ Bukem I see sounds great on vinyl ![]()

The old chrome bumper Nait2 is now temporarily powered down, but at some point in the coming weeks I may explore using the 'Qute as a source into the Nait2...
System: Unitiqute2 & MCRU No 85 Cable - NACA4 - Monitor Audio R252.
Absolutely love the looks of this set up - one of the best on here!
