NAP300 XLR cable dressing
Posted by: sheffieldgraham on 22 December 2015
The position of my NAP300 head unit is one level above the NAC552PSU, which means there is excessive XLR cable. I have currently "coiled" them separately in the zigzag fashion often recommended for NACA5. The "coils" are held loosely together with pipe insulation foam. Is there a better way?
Current arrangement from top to bottom:
L.H. Stack: R.H. Stack
552 head unit CDX2.2
NAT05 Headline H.Cap
NDAC 555psu
300 head unit 300psu
552psu S.Cap
I have a wall mounted T.T / Stageline above the stacks
The current position of the 552 units gives me the "ideal" for Burndy/SNAIC cable dressing.
I am considering reversing the position of the 300 units to extend the distance between the head unit and the 552psu. It will also allow me to try putting the Powerline, currently on the 552, onto the 300psu. My wall sockets are on the LHS of the stacks and it's just too far to stretch to the 300psu as is.
I welcome any suggestions and constructive opinions.
