Tidal and Spotify missing
Posted by: XH558 on 23 December 2015
Both Tidal and Spotify have inexplicably disappeared from the inputs list of my Naim Uniti! They were, until yesterday, both working fine under firmware 4.4.00. Has anyone seen similar recently?
Hi,
The same thing has happened to me on my UnitiQute! It's really odd, as it was working fine yesterday.
I have had to switch off and restart the UnitiQute, but the Streamer version is still showing as version 4.4.00.
Can any one advise how to get these services back?
Many thanks!
Hi,
Just to let you know I was able to resolve this issue by firstly doing a factory reset on my UnitiQute, and then switching the streamer off for a few minutes, and then switching on again.
It takes everything back to the default settings, but it also restored the streaming services.
I hope that's of some help.
I'm not sure what you mean exactly by "inputs list". In setup you can say which inputs are "enabled" and show on the app or via the remote. But if setup shows they are enabled and disabling them and then re-enabling them doesn't work, or setup doesn't show them at all, then I think factory reset is indeed the solution. You shouldn't need to leave it off for a few minutes though.
When you do the 4.4 firmware update, Naim recommend doing a factory reset after the update. But I suspect many of us don't bother because it loses all the settings and there have been one or two other odd effects like this showing up after the update and fixed by the factory reset.

Spotify and Tidal options have disappeared from the list of options available under 'Tools - Inputs'
I was not aware of the advice to reset after upgrading to the latest firmware. Having said that, it has worked fine for many weeks until this issue manifested overnight.
I invoked a factory reset this morning and all is well, Tidal and Spotify have reappeared. Tbh, it does only take 5mins to go through all the settings and put them back where they were.
So, no explanation for why this might have happened, but thanks for the advice as issue now resolved.
