A new cartridge for a 500 series system

Posted by: Miki185 on 25 December 2015

Hi,

My system contains:

500, 552 DR, NDS + 2x555PS DR,  LP12, Armageddon, Aro, SuperLine, SuperCap DR, NAT-01, SuperLuminas, Fraims, SL-2.

The NDS is rather new (3 weeks) and it opens up and I love it (That one deserves another post!)

Nonetheless I would like to lift my TT into another league, which means I have all goodies around it but just a dummy cartridge;

An Ortofon (MC 10 Supreme) that sounds quiet good but not exciting as a top-notch cartridges.

First, what do you think about the Shelter 9000

Second, do I really have only two options? Linn Kandid vs Dynavector XV-1s?

Kind Regards,

Miki

Here's another happy VPI - Koetsu Black listener . And I totally agree with Christoph's description. The Koetsu excells at delivering the emotion and the flow in the music.

hi jumping jack, which loads do you use with your superline? i use 100Ω and 100pF (because of radio interference). christoph

I use 100Ω and no capacitive plug since I don't get any interference...
