Fascia finish

Dear All, I noticed that the roughness area of the fascia is different between 2 brand new 272 and 250DR.

Others have also such of aesthetic differences?

Forgot to mention the detail: the color is slightly different. Just for be sure mine isn't defectively

The current 552 arrived a week ago looking very black, much more so than the rest of the system or the demo unit.

My 282, NDX and XPSdr are dark purple. The 250.2 and SCdr are black.

Clearly not intentional but nevermind.

There will always be some variation. One of my Olive units has a less bright Green Naim Log that the other 3 do - not a prob.

But, if units are new, talk to your Dealer, Do Not Post on the Naim Forum, Do Not Collect £200....

Ciao Mau,  this has been posted on before;  my SN & NXD have slightly different finishes,  but you have to look closely & in the correct reflective light.   To me it looks like a variation in the pre-anodising metal machining finish - this can be a problem over time as the finishing tool will get changed periodically, or maybe a different outsourced machine shop, and maybe a different anodising plant.   I would not expect it to be different if you bought the units at the same time, but when months/years apart then I accept it will vary.
But not forgetting the non-"Classic" units are completely different & are not anodised & instead have someting like a powder or spray coat finish.

I bought all my bits at the same time too but still had some very purple facias.

Re humming transformers, I don't agree here. They do hum when powered up and then go silent in under 5 minutes.
