Stageline and Nait XS

Posted by: 56wilson on 01 January 2016

I have an older version Nait XS (2007)

So if I understand it right, I can connect a Stageline directly to the AUX 2? And if so, what cable do i need?

BTW, a SNAIC5 is supplied as standard with the Stageline.

So how does the stageline from the nait xs aux 2 sound? I really love the naim sound but for a rega rp3/rp6/exact would the rega fono be a better choice?  And also a possible downgrade in sound quality on my other sources when using the aux2...is that noticeably?

I havent noticed any downgrade in performance, i assume that comment is because the nait is powering the stageline? Havent compared stageline with rega, but with graham slee era gold v and i kept the stageline.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant.

I had an XS with a Stageline. I didn't find it terribly involving, but that may have been because of the cartridge.

I'm getting a new turntable in the spring, I will try the Rega phono amps.
