Credo wiring.

Hi all, I hope all is well where you are and the new year is being kind to you and your loved ones.

I would also like to convey my condolences to those that have been involved in the dreadful flooding in parts of the UK. After going through a natural disaster here in Christchurch a few years ago, one does realise what is most important and precious in ones life, his/her family.

On a  slightly (not by much) less serious note I have some SH 1997 credo's. Just looking at the wire from the crossover I see it's not nac5. My question is, would it be worth getting the "right person" our local naim dealer to do some surgery,  replaceing the original wire with nac 5. I'm guessing it will come in around £150 ⬇️

You know he's worth every penny. I'm told he carries a loaded soldiering iron in his holster with lead shot at the ready.

Next brain picker, so I have a dream to own "The big olive system" not sure why I just enjoy that olive buzz. Anyway until the right 52 comes my way I was thinking of picking up a nac 72. I'm loving my 82/SuperCap setup but the 82 needs a service.  Just looking at flea bay I see I can pick up a 72 for around the same price as the 82 service. So if compareing apples with apples can the 82 hold a candle to the 72 ↔️ if both had been serviced.

My front end at the mo is a cds2 (which I love) but after hearing my buddy's  Mitchell TT running into a full blown 500 (none dr) system I can be pretty sure that I may end up play at that end of the play ground. I think I must be maturing in the faith.

regards.

The Credo didn't, as far as I know, come with Naca5. When I had some Allaes, they certainly didn't. So I'd leave well alone.

I'd also not bother servicing the 82: I'd just use it as it is until a nice 52 comes along. I certainly wouldn't swap the 82 for a 72.
